Facing my own mortality!

i’m 71 years old now.

seven decades plus.

but, i put that in perspective owing to the fact that my older brother died in 1992 at the age of only 51. it was a very sobering time for me even though i was only 45 at the time.

Realizing that from your infancy you are taught that you will not grow old and die is one of the biggest lies perpetuated by the Watchtower Company. When I realized that I was getting old and I was going was going to die it threw me into depression for several months. The "pagans" that went to church knew that they have to die to get their heavenly reward.

It makes me angry when I think about all of the lies that I was taught by the Borg. I have no idea how all of the overlappers can still believe in this nonsense. My grandmother believed that she would not die and she did. My mother believed she would not die and she did, When my grandmother died I thought well my mother should be OK and not die because the generation that saw 1914 was getting up there in age. Then the new light. "Not so fast buddy, the generation that Jesus talked about was an overlapping generation that can last as long as 140 years in length."

The overlappers now believe this at the same time thinking the end is just around the corner and let's throw in they think they will not grow old and die.

Dear FedUpJW,

I love your name for JW's calling them the Over-Lappers. When they knock on your door instead of asking them if they are one on those Jehovahs ask them if they are one of those Over-Lappers. When they are approached at their carts ask them if they one of those Over-Lappers?

When 1975 ended and I had to face my workmates in 1976, whom I told would not be around, I thought well at least the generation that saw 1914 is still getting older being in their 70's. It can't be that much longer.

The nulite for how long a generation really was did it for me. Today's Over-Lappers will be dead before the time runs out for the generation.

To illustrate how brainwashed, brain-dead, blind, and nonthinking JW's can be...I have a JW relative who bought the overlapping generation hook line and sinker. His mother, who is 90 years old is still active. On his Facebook page, he posted a picture that showed his mother, himself, his JW son, and his 7-year-old son standing on a sidewalk with their bookbags going in "service." He had the caption for the picture: "Four generations faithfully serving Jehovah."

I don't think that the Gibbering Booty would approve of this thought process.

You will not hear the Watchtower drones say that every man, women, and child who were alive when Jesus became king are now dead. They are all dead. Before too long the second batch of every man, women, and child will grow old and die too as we wait for Paradise just around the corner.

Since the Borg is so interested in money why not do the following to keep and gain new members:

make the taking of blood transfusion a conscience matter since the bible forbids just the eating of blood.. have youth programs for the congregations like basketball teams, baseball teams, etc.. still not allow the celebration of christmas and easter because of the pagan origins, but allow birthdays, mother and father day celebrations.

the cart people currently love baby showers to celebrate the birth of a baby but then they can't celebrate the birth date of the same baby one year later.. only have the best speakers give the talks on sundays.

too many monotone, just read the outline speakers now.. drop the members giving talks during the clam meetings.. allow the jdubs to count time to visit the sick, help the elderly with chores, to visit members in nursing homes.. not have meetings for service on saturday mornings.

I can see everyone's point of view. My suggestions would increase membership and donations; however, there would be a dilution of the Gibbering Body's power and authority. I guess at the present time, they like power more than money, but money is not far behind.

Drop the members giving talks during the CLAM meetings.

Allow the JDubs to count time to visit the sick, help the elderly with chores, to visit members in nursing homes.

Not have meetings for service on Saturday mornings. We all need some time on the weekend to chill or just sleep in with no FOG (fear, obligation, guilt)

Only shun those who are disfellowshipped if they are known to be immoral or if they openly engage in opposition to the Borg.

Allow those who just want to stop being a JDub to just walk away and be treated as if they never were a Trolley Guard.

Drop the 1914 doctrine as nulite and stop talking about the end being just around the corner.

Encourage going college since in the future the graduates will have higher paying jobs for more contributions.

Stop the nonsense of 99.9% of the world's population being destroyed and only the Cart People walking thru the smoke and rubble into a paradise.

Doing the above would help with the Borgs growth and be more attractive to new people.

$5.5 Million to be transferred to World Wide Work from Assembly Hall fund

a letter was read tonight in our kingdom hall that the money that the circuits in the indianapolis area had in savings to build a new assembly hall will now be transferred to the www to build kingdom halls in lands where they are needed and a new assembly hall for us will not be built.. we had a beautiful assembly hall near downtown indy that was paid for.

it was sold a couple of years ago.

we were promised a new assembly hall to be built in southern ohio near the indiana border but they can kiss that goodbye now.

I like the comments that the Witchtower Babel and Trick Society doesn't sell anything anymore (except Kingdom Halls) and rely on contributions. I could see a time in the near future when they charge a monthly fee to enjoy the monthly online productions. Like Netflix. the Watchtower Company could have OrgFlix or JWOrgFlix. The flock would pay $10 per month subscription for the privilege of seeing the Gibbering Booty in action with all of the wonderful songs and videos.

$5.5 Million to be transferred to World Wide Work from Assembly Hall fund

a letter was read tonight in our kingdom hall that the money that the circuits in the indianapolis area had in savings to build a new assembly hall will now be transferred to the www to build kingdom halls in lands where they are needed and a new assembly hall for us will not be built.. we had a beautiful assembly hall near downtown indy that was paid for.

it was sold a couple of years ago.

we were promised a new assembly hall to be built in southern ohio near the indiana border but they can kiss that goodbye now.

The JDubs in central Indiana had two assembly halls yanked from them. Years ago they made contributions to enable the purchase of the now sold assembly hall in Indianapolis and now the new promised assembly hall has gone up in smoke. The meeting next week should be interesting as the resolution is presented to all of the congregations for the transfer of the $5.5 million. I have no doubt that the resolution will pass since the voting is visual and verbal. No one would dare go against the wishes of Mother. If there was a secret ballot, no doubt there were would be many no votes.

Contributions from Indiana to the worldwide work will now slow down. That is how the Jdubs will cast their votes.

I have attached some pictures of our assembly hall that was sold for $2.7 million to another church. So if $5.5 million is being transferred to the worldwide work that means that the JDubs in Indiana and southern Ohio had $2.8 million in contributions to the Assembly Hall fund. Oh well, Mother knows best. They will just have to be happy to continue to have their circuit assemblies in college gyms. In another year there will be another push to start saving for another Assembly Hall.
